Hi everybody !

Like every year, we have a last look at the passing year.

First of all, we thank you very much for still visiting us in great number. This year, the frequentation of our website remained stable at 1010 visitors per day, almost the same number as the last year. In fact, there is an average of 1021 visitors per day.

This year was particularly dense, especially because of the publications we made. It may not seem to be so, but this takes an enormous amount of work, translation and formatting. However, these publications have had a nice success.

As we were concentrating on Thorsten Renk's books, the Quenya and Sindarin courses, and the Sindarin-English dictionary, we had to abandon our monthly texts, and some other publications like our Exercise Books (in French).

In September, we launched the English version of our website, taking the opportunity of the publishing of Thorsten Renk's English books. This website also has a nice success. It gives us the opportunity to present Elvish under all its various shapes, including the most amusing ones, to our English-speaking friends.

We have had some news from some people like Daniel Reeve, the man who drew the wonderful maps of Middle-Earth and other sceneries for Peter Jackson's trilogy. Daniel has confirmed to us that he is currently working on The Hobbit films. Unfortunately, he cannot say anything concerning his work, because of secrecy obligation. Visit his website!

Same news from Deak Ferrand, a Swiss-Canadian mate painter established in Hollywood who had given us an interview some time ago. He is also going to work on The Hobbit films but his work will only begin, of course, with the post-production. You can have a look on his different works for several other great productions on his website.

What else can I tell you?
It's still more and more difficult for us to find something to show you, but we nevertheless have some little projects, and your assiduity gives us energy.

Our French website has become quite enormous throughout all these years. Some features are not interesting for English speakers because they come directly from English sources. Actually, the very initial purpose of our website was to give Elvish information to French speakers, because at that time, there was none.

If you dig into it, you'll find for example the Finnish Hard Rock Band BattleLore, who are singing some songs in Elvish.

Hoping that we will continue to divert you, we already whish you all the best for 2009.
